The Brabham BT44 Classic F1 car represents a period of F1 evolution where technical innovations and developments was still way ahead of aerodynamic developments. The BT44B was a development of the BT44, with many changes. Externally the BT44B had a revised nose cone. While changes under the skin were numerous, such as location and detail of the mastercylinders, nosecone supports, anti rollbars and track rod links. In the rear of the car a different gear lever was used, and there were changes to cockpit and dash, top tanks and construction of the airbox fed rear brake cooling and changes in the oil radiator surfaces and plumbing. Further changes included a large engine fire extinguisher ahead of the attachment of the rear wing supports.
